The town Doberlug-Kirchhain (8.300 inhabitants) is located in the centre of the district Elbe-Elster, ca. 30 kilometres south-eastern to the district town Herzberg. The town is easily reachable by train (routes Berlin-Dresden and Leipzig-Cottbus) and by car (A 13 Berlin-Dresden, ca. 35 kilometres away).

General facts

The castle in the part of Doberlug has its origin in the 16th and 17th centuries. It belongs to the biggest renaissance castles of Brandenburg. The four-wing area encloses an impressive inner courtyard which is an ideal event place.
Numerous spire lights, gables and two towers give the castle a very prominent appearance.
